On November 5 morning, 2024, at Auditorium A301, LHU's Trade Union successfully organized the Labor Conference for the 2024-2025 academic year with the participation of nearly 200 delegates representing more than 500 officials, lecturers and employees of LHU.
The LHU Laborer Conference is an annual event aiming to promote the employees' ownership rights, strengthen collective solidarity, and encourage creativity in the workplace. This is also an opportunity for the employees in the University to exchange and propose ideas about their rights, interests and responsibilities as prescribed in Decree No. 59/2023/ND-CP of the Government.

Attending the Conference were also Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector, representative of the employer; Mr. Dang Dai Hung - Chairman of the Labor Union, representative of the employee.

At the beginning of the Conference, on behalf of the Rectorate Board, Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector shared the goals, tasks and development orientations for the 2024-2025 academic year, emphasizing the importance of promoting democracy in the workplace. Representatives of units under the University also presented summary reports on activities in 2023-2024, highlighting achievements as well as challenges that need to be addressed. This is an opportunity for all employees to better understand the University's overall situation, thereby contributing ideas and sharing initiatives to build an increasingly strong collective.

Also within the framework of the Conference, Rector Lam Thanh Hien representing the employer and the Executive Committee of the Labor Union chaired the discussion session, creating a democratic exchange environment within the legal framework. This dialogue meeting contributes to building a strong, harmonious, and sustainable relationship between the University and employees, ensuring the best working conditions and sustainable development of the institution.
Particularly, before the witness of all participants, the representatives of the two parties officially signed the Collective Labor Agreement, Emulation Covenant and Coordination Agreement, demonstrating the common unity and commitment to the rights and obligations of employees in legal documents.

The direct dialogue between the University and representatives of employees
On the occasion, the University recognized, honored and commended outstanding collectives and individuals for their great efforts and contributions to its development in the 2023-2024 school year.
After the summary reports, the 2024-2025 academic year emulation movement was officially launched, aiming to boost creativity and efficiency in the workplace. Hopefully, with the high solidarity and determination, all employees will overcome challenges together and continue to contribute to the sustainable development of LHU in the new academic year.
