To expand its global collaboration network and enhance the quality of education and research, LHU on February 18, 2025 warmly welcomed and worked with a delegation from Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland. This event marked a key milestone in strengthening the partnership between the two institutions and paved the way for collaborative opportunities including learning, research and development for students.
The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam – Vice Rector; along with leaders and representatives from various units. The HAMK side was represented by Mr. Martti Majuri – Director of HAMK Advantage, and Ms. Teija Lehtonen – Head of Development, International RDI.

The discussion focused on promoting joint training programs, faculty and student exchange as well as scientific research collaboration. Both sides agreed to implement student transfer programs and jointly conduct applied research projects in technology, engineering, and business administration. With the combination of HAMK’s strengths in applied sciences with LHU’s solid foundation in practical training, this partnership promises to bring significant value to students and faculty members from both institutions.
