In the context of global trade constantly fluctuating due to factors such as geopolitical conflicts, supply chain disruptions, epidemics, or rising transportation costs, logistics companies are increasingly facing legal and operational risks in the execution of international contracts.
To help students gain practical insight into the logistics industry and better understand legal issues in international trade, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at LHU is organizing a workshop titled "Navigating volatility and risks in international logistics contracts: Force majeure or hardship?".
The seminar will provide practical insights from businesses, helping students understand:
- Common types of risks in international logistics contracts;
- Distinguishing between Force Majeure and Hardship in international trade;
- How businesses handle situations arising in the global supply chain;
- Practical experiences from logistics businesses when working with international partners.
This is an opportunity for students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, and International Business to gain a deeper understanding of the risks in international logistics contracts, while accumulating practical knowledge and essential skills for their future careers.
