International Business Club Meets 2021 Freshmen Amid Complex Covid-19 Situation.

In the vibrant atmosphere of the new academic year (2021–2022), at 18:30 on 29 September 2021, the International Business major under the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics, Lac Hong University, organized a meeting to welcome and connect freshmen of the 2021 cohort with lecturers of the major and faculty, as well as students from Cohorts 18, 19, and 20. In addition, the session introduced and encouraged students to join the International Business Club – a place to share experiences and support one another in academic and personal development.

Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, an in-person gathering was not possible. Therefore, the 90-minute meeting was conducted online, yet it still attracted the participation of nearly 90 students from the International Business major along with lecturers from the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics.

During the 2021 Freshmen Welcome Program, participating students had the opportunity to meet and receive dedicated guidance from lecturers, club members, and the two program MCs. At the beginning of the program, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics – delivered a directive speech, congratulated the Club on its achievements, and expressed his hope that the Club would serve as a practical playground for the major, connecting students with extracurricular movements and practical activities at enterprises, thereby bringing meaningful benefits to International Business students.

The Club energized the online session with a mini game featuring prizes for winning students. This was followed by an introduction to the Club’s main activities and the launch of study support groups, extracurricular groups, and English support groups. The Club plans to organize monthly thematic sessions on English and enterprise practices to create an environment that integrates knowledge and real-life experiences for International Business students in particular and students of the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics, Lac Hong University in general.

Students raised questions to the Club toward the end of the program.

The program concluded with a second mini game and an interactive Q&A session between students, members of the Club’s Executive Board, and lecturers of the major. The discussion was lively and friendly. The program ended at 20:30, leaving a joyful atmosphere among members of the Club’s Executive Board, as their efforts resulted in a successful program for students of the major.
