At 8:00 AM on November 5, 2021, at the Hall of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, the Final Round of the 2021 Dong Nai Innovation and Startup Competition was successfully held, featuring six outstanding projects. After passing the preliminary and challenge rounds, the finalists presented and introduced the novelty, creativity, commercialization potential, growth prospects, level of business model completion, and the economic and social impact of their projects.

AutoMov Wheelchair Support Device (by Dinh Tuan Anh, Pham Duc Nam, Vo Thai Sinh, Dang Ngoc Tai, Kha Pham Truc Linh)

The AutoMov wheelchair support device project comes from students of Lac Hong University, consisting of 9 core members and more than 20 additional collaborators. The team leader is Dinh Tuan Anh.
AutoMov is essentially a modular support device that includes two 350W motors, two sprocket-chain systems, a steering control unit, and a battery pack mounted on a steel frame designed to be attached to a manual wheelchair.
Through the 2021 Dong Nai Innovation and Startup Competition, the team hoped to reach a wider audience and expand the impact of the project. They also aimed to find potential investors to accompany and support the project’s development for faster and stronger growth.

According to the judging panel’s evaluation, the projects demonstrated creativity, innovation, and commercialization potential, with promising development prospects. The organizing committee will select the most potential projects for incubation, training, and business model refinement, paving the way to attract investors.
The final ranking results are expected to be announced and awarded at the upcoming Dong Nai Science and Technology Festival 2021.
