How to “Score Points” with Employers After Finding the Right Job?.

University is a place where dreams are nurtured and knowledge is cultivated to prepare students with the best foundation before graduation. Therefore, employment after graduation is always a top concern for both the community and students themselves—especially in the current context where the pandemic has made online learning and working increasingly common.

To address these concerns and help students gain more experience in job interviews, build professional CVs, and develop essential online skills to impress employers, the Department of Corporate Relations collaborated with the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting to organize an online training session titled:

    “Enterprise Skills Training with Vietinbank.”

On the right: Ms. Đặng Ngọc Quyên – Chief Accountant of Vietinbank, Đồng Nai Branch

The event took place at 7:00 PM on November 16, 2021, with the participation of:

    • Ms. Đặng Ngọc Quyên – Chief Accountant, along with accounting staff from Vietinbank Đồng Nai Branch

    • Lecturers and staff from the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics

    • Lecturers and staff from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting

    • More than 250 students from both faculties

The training focused on two main contents:

    1. Helping students gain experience and confidence in job interviews, and guiding them on how to create an effective CV.

    2. Introducing Vietinbank’s products and services so students can better understand and access banking services.

Before the session began, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics – shared:

“Recently, the university has organized many programs and events aimed at bringing the most necessary and valuable support to students. Through today’s event, I hope you will gain additional knowledge and valuable insights—how to be confident upon graduation, how to prepare a strong CV, and how to obtain the necessary diplomas and certificates to enhance your profile when applying to organizations and businesses where you wish to contribute and work. I believe Vietinbank will bring you meaningful value. As students, we must keep learning continuously, because every step forward is a memorable value.”

Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of FBA-IE sharing before the session

Finding a job is not difficult, but finding the right job is not easy. Therefore, once you find a suitable opportunity, do not lose it due to lack of confidence.

Ms. Đặng Ngọc Quyên – Chief Accountant – shared essential skills to help students feel confident during interviews, such as:

    • Carefully preparing answers in advance

    • Thinking positively

    • Practicing voice and communication skills

    • Dressing appropriately

    • Demonstrating decisive and professional body language

    • Showing friendliness and openness

    • Interacting effectively with interviewers

Continuing the program, representatives from Vietinbank introduced various banking products and services. Students were guided on how to register and open online bank accounts, especially useful during the pandemic when visiting a bank branch may not be possible.

Additionally, the bank provided warnings about increasingly sophisticated financial scams targeting vulnerable groups such as students and women, helping participants become more aware and avoid potential risks.

Essential skills when participating in interviews

Students actively listened and raised many questions for Vietinbank representatives. The event also became more engaging as students received small gifts for registering and opening bank accounts.

The training session concluded at 8:30 PM on the same day.
