LHU’s Electric Wheelchair Project Enters Top 10 of the 2021 “National Startup” Program.

With the desire to support disadvantaged groups in society so that they can live better, more independent, and more comfortable lives, a student team including Đinh Tuấn Anh – a student from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics – and Kha Phạm Trúc Linh – a student from the Faculty of Business Administration and International Economics – developed the AutoMov electric wheelchair project.

AutoMov converts a manual wheelchair into a fully functional electric wheelchair equipped with features comparable to other electric wheelchairs available on the market. This solution enables users to access affordable electric wheelchairs while also reducing the number of unused manual wheelchairs in society.

It can be said that during 2020–2021, the student team’s project achieved remarkable success, earning several proud accomplishments such as:

    • First Prize at the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS 2021) competition

    • First Prize at the CiC 2021 Startup Idea Competition

Currently, AutoMov is also participating in several other competitions, including the 2021 National Startup Program, the 2021 Startup Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, and the 2021 Dong Nai Innovation Startup Competition. The team is currently awaiting results from these competitions.

Regarding the National Startup Program, the project has officially entered the Top 10 and will present on December 6, 2021, to compete for a place in the Top 6 finalists advancing to the final round.
