How Did Students Experience the Online Tet Atmosphere?.

Thus, 2021 has come to an end. A year filled with many events, along with numerous difficulties and challenges amid the complicated and unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 pandemic “waves.” The pandemic affected work, study, and entertainment plans. Notably, work and study shifted to online formats for many months, travel between provinces became more difficult, and students were unable to return home to their families. As Tet approached, students longed to return to their beloved, warm families—to once again sense the flavors of Tet, the nostalgia, and the emotional excitement in the air.

Seemingly understanding the feelings of students and the hardships faced by lecturers in conducting online teaching throughout a challenging year amid the pandemic, the Economic Law Club coordinated with the Foreign Trade Club to organize the program “Welcoming Spring 2022,” held online via the Zoom platform. The event aimed to create a joyful and exciting space for interaction ahead of the Lunar New Year 2022 for students of the two majors in particular and all university students in general. At the same time, the program extended Lunar New Year greetings to all lecturers and students of FAIE and Lac Hong University.

At the beginning of the program, two MCs, Tấn Lộc and Mỹ Linh, briefly introduced the purpose of the club activity, with the attendance of Dr. Lâm Thành Hiển – President of Lac Hong University, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of FAIE, along with lecturers and students of FAIE. Before the program officially began, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of FAIE, delivered words of encouragement and shared heartfelt messages with lecturers and students, expressing his joy for the two clubs, Economic Law and Foreign Trade.

Next was the Spring Fun Games segment organized by the Economic Law Club, featuring interesting and meaningful games for the upcoming Lunar New Year 2022: Bầu cua tôm cá, Guess the Picture, and Cheerful Spring Notes. Students eagerly and enthusiastically participated; some even praised the games as amazing and wonderful! After a short time, the games concluded, the Club announced the results, congratulated the winners, and reminded them to visit the Economic Law Club’s website to receive their prizes. Not stopping there, the Foreign Trade Club also hosted an exciting Lô tô game, which further added to the Tet atmosphere. The game featured the lively participation of Văn Ry and Tấn Lộc from class 20LU111 – members of the Economic Law Club. The two enthusiastically called out the lottery numbers, making the program even more vibrant and festive. The mysterious numbers created suspense and excitement for the players.

After the games came the sharing and short storytelling session by the lecturers. Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy, a lecturer of FAIE, shared about the Tet scenery in her hometown, with blooming flowers preparing to welcome the New Year. Mr. Võ Anh Phúc, also a lecturer of FAIE, extended New Year wishes to all lecturers and students. Mr. Phạm Minh Thắng, a Foreign Trade student and representative of students from the two majors, delivered Tet greetings to all lecturers. At the end of the program, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân, representing FAIE, sent New Year wishes to all lecturers and students and expressed his hope to meet students again soon in the new semester.

Concluding the session, the Economic Law Club promised to continue striving to create more meaningful academic and recreational activities for students in the upcoming academic year.
