Economic Law Major Student Granted Special Graduation Consideration.

In any job or field, if we want to achieve success, we must make great efforts. Before entering the workforce and gaining real-world experience, the university environment is an ideal place for self-development, as lecturers always accompany and support students, creating opportunities for each individual to maximize their strengths and pointing out mistakes so that we can improve and perform better in the future. At FAIE, Tất Lê Uyên Nhi from class 17LU111 is a shining example for many students to follow and learn from.

As the eldest child in a family running a household business, she understood hardship from an early age. Therefore, she constantly strived to improve her knowledge, develop her skills, and set goals to build a better life—one that would not be filled with hardship and would allow her to take care of her parents. Throughout her studies at LHU, with dedicated support from lecturers and her own determination, she achieved the title of Good Student in her first year. However, she did not stop there. She pushed herself to strive even harder, and her achievements as an Excellent Student in her second and third years proved her determination.

In addition to consistently striving for high academic performance, she was also an enthusiastic participant in competitions organized by the Faculty and the University. Besides classroom knowledge, competitions help students gain practical exposure, addressing the challenge of employers’ experience requirements for fresh graduates. Participating in external competitions also provides opportunities to broaden horizons, connect, and learn from students of other universities. Her achievements include Third Prize at the “Mock Trial” competition in 2018 and the title of “Five-Good Student” at the university level for the 2017–2018 academic year.

Notably, the competition “English for Non-English Major Students,” which seemed unrelated to her major, became a turning point. Encouraged by Mr. Phú from the Faculty of English Language, she decided to challenge herself simply to exchange experiences and expand her knowledge. At that time, her foundation consisted mainly of good listening skills and fairly good speaking ability. With determination and teamwork alongside students from the Faculty of English Language, her team successfully reached the Southern regional final round. Their joy multiplied when they won Third Prize overall, and she was overwhelmed with happiness upon receiving the decision granting her “Special Graduation Consideration.”

Despite being granted special graduation status, she still chose to participate in scientific research to challenge herself, improve her presentation skills for academic research, and deepen her specialized knowledge. Although she sometimes faced difficulties, she never gave up and continued striving. At the evaluation council, lecturers assessed her work with relatively high scores—well-deserved recognition for her relentless efforts.

It can be said that this is an achievement many students dream of attaining. Sharing her study experience, she emphasized the importance of managing time effectively between extracurricular activities and academic study, participating selectively in activities that match her abilities while always prioritizing her studies.

Regarding English proficiency, which is essential in today’s era, she adopted an enjoyable learning approach—improving her English through watching subtitled films and listening to English songs. Additionally, she attended speaking classes at language centers to enhance her communication skills, reflexes, confidence, and courage when speaking in public.
